"A Haven for Your Little Explorer"

Our infant program provides a warm, nurturing atmosphere where your child will learn, play, and grow. Infants are just learning about the world, so we use age-appropriate toys, music, and games to promote development. The infant care program at Great Beginnings is designed to promote the development of each child while providing flexibility to meet their individual needs.

Toddlers Program

"Opening Doors To Imagination"

Younger Toddlers

Childcare for Children Ages 15 Months to 2 Years- Younger Toddlers-1

The emphasis of our young toddler program will be on the initial acquisition of basic self-help skills. The children will participate in open-ended activities where the process is stressed rather than the outcome. Your child will experience dramatic play, singing, games, stories, manipulative, and or projects along with various other activities. The children are encouraged daily in both indoor and outdoor activities with the inclusion of small and large group experiences.

Older Toddlers

Childcare for Children Ages 2 to 3 Years- Older Toddlers-2

At 24 months children work on their gross-motor and fine motor skills in their classrooms. This helps them establish self-esteem as well as learn academically. Our dynamic toddler room is more than just a space; it's a haven of learning. Here, vocabulary blossoms, self-expression thrives, and the foundation for lifelong learning is laid. With a curriculum tailored to their developmental stage, toddlers at Greater Beginnings Learning Center are not just cared for; they are celebrated.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we'll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

What kind of parent involvement do you have at the school?

Under normal circumstances, our doors are always open to parents, and throughout the year parents will have the opportunity to join us for special events such as birthday/holiday celebrations and community/charity events. However, given current circumstances, all school visits should be discussed with our school Director.

What if my child gets sick while at school?

For their own health, and to reduce the spread of communicable illness, children will be sent home if they have any of the following symptoms:

  • A temperature of 100.0 F
  • Have vomited and have other symptoms or
  • Have vomited more than once in a day
  • Have diarrhea (more than one incident)
  • Severe coughing – getting red or blue in the face or makes a high-pitched, croupy or whooping sound after coughing
  • Difficult or rapid breathing (especially in infants under 6 months)
  • Yellowish skin or eyes
  • Exhibiting symptoms of pinkeye
  • Unusual spots or rashes
  • Sore throat or trouble swallowing
  • Infected skin patch(es)
  • Unusually dark, tea-colored urine
  • Grey or white stool
  • Headache or stiff neck
  • Severe itching of the body or scalp (maybe a symptom of lice or scabies)

If your child has other symptoms that do not require them to be isolated, or if they simply “do not feel well,” parents will be called to keep them informed. The parent may decide to take the child home but will not be required to do so.
